 Tanis would live twice the life of a human, but only part of the life of an elf, and would be shunned openly by both societies as an abomination for every day of her cursed existence.  She matured faster, and achieved her warrior marks at the age of 27, just 15 years after her arrival.  [[Udoros]] only ever showed her kindness, and Tanis developed a fierce loyalty to [[Udoros]].  They were inseparable comrades-in-arms for a decade, sharing their trials and tribulations with each other, each feeling shunned in their own rights.  Soon after attaining her marks, Tanis was to join a forward squad part of the [[West March]] that [[Udoros]] would join in under a decade. Tanis was commanding a unit of shock troops and scouts when [[Udoros]] joined, his first night away from the [[Western Outpost]], which would be lost in the same week to spiders, hobgoblins, orcs, and other fell beings.  [[Udoros]] was prohibited from returning there when his sortie returned to the [[West March Road]], and at that camp leagues north from his home, Tanis made your base, and [[Udoros]] operated from there for the next 20 years, until the night that brought Udoros to the company of his current traveling companions.
