Queen Nissa

Queen Nissa of the Tinwael Galéth, the Vast Greenwood; Oracle of the Middle Kingdom, and the Oracle of Knowledge. She has been queen for over two centuries, and her power both diffuses into the forest, as well as sustains and grows her power. She is typically garbed in the aedlethen or a full dress of the same fabric, a fine and silky material that changes color in the light of the day or night, and aids the wearer in camouflage with the reflected light of the surroundings. This gives her the appearance of moving on an invisible pedestal as she moves, one made of the living grass and leaf which surround her.

Her power is now so great and far-reaching that she cannot leave the forest, for she will die without it, and it without her. One day she will diffuse into the forest itself, to join her ancestors, when her replacement presents herself to the queen.

Some notable characters have received her mark owe her their allegiance, including Faeron and Kevin.

Nissa orated The Prophecy.

A depiction of Nissa in stained glass in the Kingshall at Grünvik. Each window in the Kingshall depicts a different historic figure vital to the existence of Grünvik, allies to the men and dwarves there. This is from 250 years ago when she was at the height of her vitality and power. This is an image of her forming the way for the Elwyn Road leading from her kingdom to Vesuva, a wild and impassable tract of land she terraformed when the last Lady of Light that could generate the Vesuvan Aurora was in power. This vantage point shows the Northern Estates of Vesuva in the background.
