Queen Nissa depicted in stained glass

Each window in the Kingshall of Grünvik depicts a different historic figure vital to the existence of Grünvik, allies to the men and dwarves there.

Queen Nissa's window is from 250 years ago when she was at the height of her vitality and power. This is an image of her forming the way for the Elwyn Road leading from her kingdom to Vesuva, a wild and impassable tract of land she terraformed when the last Lady of Light that could generate the Vesuvan Aurora was in power. This vantage point shows the Northern Estates of Vesuva in the background.

The Kingshall also contains the only known depiction of Pethínu, the first of the Feldwynnen and the oldest of panels in the Kingshall. Legends speak of her ability to transform at will into a variety of creatures, a skill unheard of in any of the feldwynnen. She is Jiala Holloway’s great grandmother. She is revered by the men and dwarves of Grünvik by warding their tribes’ travel to establish the Eastern Downs outside Vesuva some 800 years ago.

Glíma Harr, the Battle-crazed is shown as well. She was one of the first feldwynnen to retain a half-humanoid, half-animal form some 400 years ago. She returned from Apadia and prepared the King Dagmar Jónsson of Grünvik for an assault by sea, and first united the men and eagles of the northeast sea coast. She is said to have caused so much devastation to the enemy as they fought on The Vigrid Plain south of Ingsbrook that no tree or shrub could grow there in fear of being cut down by her blade in battle again. The scene is from the end of the Battle of Ossîgo, which was the only time in recorded history an enemy made it to the banks of the river before being stopped by the combined forces of the Western Kingdom and the Men and Dwarves of Grünvik. This battle cemented the alliance of men, dwarves, and elves in the northeast of Sarapadia.
