Khâl Dakhîr

The Khâl Dakhîr is the Dwarven name of the mountain range on the western edge of Sarapadia. The loose translation to the Common Tongue is the Skyrend Mountains, to indicate their notable height and jagged appearance.

The Skyrend Mountains are home to a wide variety of species and intelligent beings. The most notable in population first are the Mountain Dwarves of various aggregated clans forming the Dwarven Empire from far south in the Skyrend south of the Silvermere to the northern reaches of the Ossîgo River and from the coat to the hills spans the land the Dwarves of Sarapadia claim for themselves. According to their own legends, it was a gift from Frey for them to use, as their peoples are believed to be indigenous to Sarapadia. Dwarves and Halflings and possibly Gnomes are indigenous peoples to Sarapadia, and possibly descended from the creatures of the Faewald.
